In 2018 I was in Dubai on a work trip for 2 weeks. Every free hour I spent walking or riding through the city with a film camera, sporadically taking photos. There was no intention to make a photo project. Life was just happening around me. But 5 years later I gave a fresh look to that material and a puzzle composed itself.
 

The city was portrayed from an unfamiliar angle. Besides the usual futuristic, luxury megapolis, there is a glimpse of real life that is happening in those neighborhoods where the metro hides under the ground. So the tourists wouldn’t see the outskirts and teleport from the skyscrapers to the airport directly.
